D Bay Transport Fleet

Our company operates a fleet of prime movers, giving us the flexibility to meet a wide range of transport needs.

Our fleet ranges from single trailer work through to double and triple road train combinations.

D Bay Transport uses Freightliner prime movers, flatbeds, drop decks with ramps, extendable trailers, Tautliners and pilot vehicles to move machinery, steel, demountable buildings, containers, vehicles, palletised freight and general freight.

D Bay Transport operates Freightliner prime movers with 550 horsepower and a 120 tonne rating.

The trucks have single, double and triple road train capability, allowing us to move individual loads or combine multiple trailers for long distance freight movements.

Road Train Capability

Heavy machinery capacity is up to 25 tonnes per trailer. Where the load and route allow, two additional trailers can be added to complete a triple road train combination.

This allows multiple loads or different freight types to move within the same transport operation.

Flatbed Trailers

Flatbeds provide open access from the sides and above for machinery, manufactured and structural steel, construction equipment, containers and general freight.

Drop Decks with Ramps

Drop decks with ramps allow machinery and equipment to be driven or loaded onto the deck. The lower deck height also provides additional clearance for taller freight.

Extendable Trailers

Extendable trailers are used for longer loads, including structural steel, demountable buildings and oversize freight.

Tautliners

Tautliners provide weather protection with side and rear access for loading and unloading palletised freight and general goods.

Pilot Vehicles

Pilot vehicles can be arranged when required for oversize freight movements.
